Cedar Patio Furniture

Important Facts about Cedar and why it is a good choice for outdoor patio furniture.

  • Does not warp as much as other wood. This means the boards will not disform
    because of warping from sun and water as much as other woods.

  • Resists decay, disease and rotting - Cedar has natural oils and compounds that resist humidity and natural occuring decay.
    Cedar has one of the highest US Forest Products ratings for disease and decay resistance. These oils and natural occuring compounds make cedar and excellent choice for outdoor furniture in humid areas of the country. It is also
    useful around pool and sauna locations.

  • Cedar furniture has a fresh sent that last a long time after
    harvest ( only unfinished products )

  • Cedar contains oils that are a natural insect repellent

  • Does not crack as much as other woods. Cedar does not absorb water or loose water as fast as other woods like Oak.

  • Changes color to a silver grey over time
